Motivation, it comes from within!

Being healthy is not something we fall into overnight.  Most of us spend our lives doing the opposite of healthy.  Most eat what they want and when they want.  Most drink alcohol and consume sugary drinks like soda pop and fruit juices throughout the day without even thinking about what they are putting into their bodies.  Most don’t exercise and have no motivation to do so.  Being healthy is something most of us realize we need to be after so many years of misuse and disuse.  Finding your health and making the choice to be healthy does not happen one hr a day, one day a week or one week of the month.  It happens with small positive changes each and everyday and before you know it the transformation has begun and soon it will be a way of life…a lifestyle full of healthy choices and feeling great.  If losing weight is one of the goals you have set for yourself, how do you find the motivation to change?  One thing to think about is that losing weight does not mean that you must SACRIFICE everything.  They key is moderation and control.  The key is also MOTIVATION that comes from the WANT to change and succeed.  No one can take away the food that controls you…no one can force you to start exercising.   You must find it from within and you must learn about your weaknesses and strengths and apply those to your goals.  Its about choices…that’s what motivates me.  I choose to eat healthy and everyday it’s a new challenge to stay on track but that is motivation!  I’m more motivated than ever to challenge myself, to overcome any obstacle in front of me!  I choose to workout because it makes me feel better and that feeling motivates me more and more everyday.  I’m going to be 38 this month and I feel better now than I did when I was 20.  I’m active and I eat to fuel my body correctly.  Choices are made daily for me but my motivation also comes from the want to be healthy for my kids and my family.  I want to be a positive role model for my girls so that motivates me each and everyday that I get up to conquer the world.  Motivation stares me in the face everyday…the difference between me and the rest of the lazy world…I take notice of those motivators and I accept the challenge!  Try it!
