Training chest has never been an issue for me. I find that I am strong training chest and I really enjoy the “pump” I get from training chest. Here are some of my favorite exercises:
Warm up: push-up 2 sets x 12-20 reps
Incline DB or machine press 1 WU set, 4 sets x 8-10 reps
Flat bench DB or bench press 3 sets x 8-10 reps
DB fly incline bench 4 sets x 8-12 reps (drop sets, failure)
Cable fly superset with decline push-up 3 sets x 8-12 (drop sets, failure)
I always train with intensity but I don’t sacrifice form. It is not always about the load, it is the intensity of the workout/exercise that is most important.
It is rare I follow the exact program every single time. Change is always happening for me to avoid adaptation! Plus, I love to challenge my body and create new exercises/programs to keep it interesting! Drop sets, pre-exhaust, eccentrics, isolation vs. compound! Try them all!
Train hard! Train smart! Don’t quit!
