Brandy’s Non Bake Protein Puck

I created this little puck of joy after my contest prep in November of 2011.  It has been a staple in my nutrition plan ever since.  I like to add different options at different times, depending on whether I want to make it a treat or if I want to make it an actual post workout meal.  Here are the basic ingredients:

Single serving:

1 scoop (30g) Isoflex chocolate peanut butter protein powder

20g All natural peanut butter

1 tbsp Hershey’s cocoa powder

20g Raw oats

2 packs of splenda

OPTIONS:  add your favorite nuts, dried fruit or dark chocolate chips (any candy is fine).  Adding these options will take the calories higher so be aware of this!

Macronutrients:  335 cals

12g fat/ 24g carbs / 37g protein (30%fat/28%carb/42%protein)

Mix the ingredients.   Add 1 Tbsp of cold water and mix.  The texture will become sticky but could still be a bit dry.  Each bowl is different so you may need to add a tiny bits of water at a time.  Do not add too much water.  Protein powder is very soluble!  Once you have added enough water the mixture should resemble that of a haystack cookie.  It will stick together and form a ball.  I flatten this ball into a puck and place into a container or wrap it and place in the fridge until I am ready to eat it.  I do keep it chilled if I’m on the road or I eat it right out of the bowl.  It is a very tasty meal or treat!
